Designer Barbara Sander makes accessories for dogs and their best friends that stand out because of their high quality and functional details though detailed with fashionably elements. Before venturing into dog accessories, Sander worked among others, as a stylist in the fashion industry and worked with famous artists and musicians in The Netherlands. She started developing her ideas for dog accessories in the year 2004 and soon found friends and acquaintances eager to get their hands on one of her designs for their beloved dogs. This prompted her to start thinking about a collection and she founded her own label, Dogs department in 2005.

Dogs department products are designed for dogs and owners who want to have all the functionality of a dog accessory but also want to look great! Dogs department works with a basic collection and a line that changes with every season so your dog can wear the latest fashion trends. To accomodate the abiding demand for certain popular designs, the basic collection was established. We add new colours and materials to this collection for the variety every season.
But also we add new designs every season to satisfy your dogs need.  Keywords for Dogs department designs are functional, fashionable and high quality. The collars and leashes are made of strong German leather, that will only get better with age, and mostly hand-made for a perfect fit where your dog feels himself the best in. Our colour palette makes it easy for men and women to wear our designs with every outfit though wearing the latest fashion trends.  

Barbara Sander works in Haarlem, near the capital city of the Netherlands. After her secondary school she studied communication science and fashion styling and design in Amsterdam where she graduated cum laude in 2004. Her designs are stocked in leading high-end dog boutiques and fashion stores in the Netherlands and abroad like Harrods in London. Since 2009 she opened the Dogs department atelier for v.i.p clients in Haarlem. But the plan is to get Dogs department designs in stores all over the world!We are a company with a conscience. Our brand stands for caring for animals. We therefore provide financial support to pet rescue centres and different good aims for dogs.
